Calypso IP concerns developing, researching and testing IP routing technologies. Some of projects results will be:
-VTT and relating hardware based on IP forwarding, implemented OSPF routing protocol that partly deals with of QoS aspects.
-Implementation of OSPF routing protocol testing by means of OSI/IEC 9646 methodology.
-Research on IP-routing in Mobile IP environment.
-Model for how to test distributed object oriented systems by means of OSI/IEC 9646 and functional prototype on top of that model.

Calypso IP will do close co-operations with other TKK's projects that partly deal with problems relating to IP routing. Calypso IP concerns research and implementation of MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) together with SCOMS project, and research of IP-routing in hierarchical Mobile IP environment together with GO/Core project.

The project was completed in 2000.
